Italian Certificates and Diplomas
(Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera)
The CILS certification is a diploma officially recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is based on the Common European Framework of Reference of the Council of Europe.
CENTRO FIORENZA has been accredited by the "Università per Stranieri di Siena" and is an official examination center for the CILS certification.
The CILS certification attests to the student's degree of linguistic and communicative competence in Italian as a second language LS / L2. There are four CILS levels: CILS UNO (B1), CILS DUE (B2), CILS TRE (C1), CILS QUATTRO (C2). To obtain the Certificate of one of the four levels it is necessary to pass a written and oral exam consisting of five parts: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, analysis of communication structures, written expression, oral expression.
The exams for all levels are usually held twice a year, in June and December. The exam locations are: Siena, Florence, Milan, Rome and at some Italian Cultural Institutes abroad.

Centro Fiorenza also prepares students for other Certificates issued by different Italian Universities as the CELI examination (Università per Stranieri di Perugia) or IT examination (Univeristà di Roma Tre) or other institutions.
Centro Fiorenza issues a certificate of attendance to all students who have regularly attended classes. The certificate describes the type of the Italian language course, the number of hours attended, duration of stay and final level attained.
